Information We Collect
When you interact with our website or request information from us, you may provide a variety of personal information. If you opt in to our SMS text messaging program, we additionally collect your mobile telephone number, the content of any text messages, photos, documents, or other files you send to us by text, records of your consent (including the date, time, and method by which you opted in and the specific mobile number to which consent applies), and SMS metadata such as delivery timestamps and message status.
How We Collect Information
We collect personal information in several ways, including when you visit our website, request information or support, submit forms, upload documents, or otherwise interact with our online services. This may also include information collected when you inquire about or apply for mortgage-related services. As you use our website, our servers automatically log technical details such as your IP address, the pages you visit, the URL of your request, browsing activity, and search terms you enter. We may also receive personal information from third-party service providers or partners who collect information from you on their own sites and share it with us in accordance with their privacy policies. We use this information to operate our website effectively, fulfill your requests, and provide information about our services.
We also collect information when you communicate with us by SMS text message after opting in to our SMS program, including the content of your messages and any photos or documents you transmit by text.

How We Use Information
We use the personal information we collect to provide the services you request, verify your identity, and make your customer account and related information available to you. We also use this information to analyze how users interact with our website in the aggregate so we can improve site functionality, enhance performance, and deliver a better user experience. Your information helps us improve customer service by allowing us to respond more efficiently to inquiries and support needs. In addition, we may share your information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy when necessary to provide our services or meet legal and operational requirements. We also use your information to communicate with you about your requests, updates, or other relevant information, and to operate and administer various features of our website.
If you opt in to our SMS text messaging program, we use the mobile information collected through that program solely to communicate with you about your active mortgage loan application. Specifically, we use SMS to provide loan status updates, request documents required to process your application, respond to inquiries you initiate by text, and confirm appointments. We do not use information collected through SMS for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not use it to send rate quotes, solicit additional business, or contact you about products or services other than your active loan file.
Information Security
We use a combination of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures are designed to match the sensitivity of the information we collect and store and may include encryption, secure data storage, access controls, and monitoring of our systems. For example, login credentials including usernames, passwords, and PINs are stored in encrypted form. While we work hard to safeguard your information, no method of transmitting data over the internet or storing data electronically can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access or other security incidents will never occur.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for maintaining the security of your username and password. We recommend updating your password regularly and avoiding the reuse of passwords used on other websites. If you believe your login information has been compromised, you should contact us immediately at [email protected] and change your password as soon as possible. We cannot be responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your decision to share, disclose, or improperly safeguard your login information.
Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not disclose any personal information we collect from you through our website except as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise agreed to by you. We may share your personal information when it is necessary to provide the products or services you request, including sharing information with third-party lenders, service providers, and vendors who assist in processing your transaction. We may also disclose information to our affiliates with the understanding that they will protect your personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. In addition, we may share your information with third parties when you have provided your consent, when disclosure is required by law, or when we believe it is necessary to enforce our policies or protect our website, customers, or others. Your information may also be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of some or all of our business assets. We may also be required to use or disclose your information in connection with legal proceedings, including responding to court orders, subpoenas, or requests from law enforcement.
If you apply for a mortgage loan or request that we provide mortgage-related services, you authorize us to share your credit information and related application details with lenders and service providers as needed to process your request. In some cases, the law may require us to provide additional privacy notices or disclosures that describe how we use and share the personal information collected to fulfill your specific service request.
Special limitation on mobile and SMS information. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy, no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This limitation applies to your mobile telephone number, your SMS opt-in records, the content of your SMS messages, and any other information we collect in connection with our SMS text messaging program. We do not sell, rent, or lease this information. We may share mobile information only (i) with service providers acting on our behalf under written confidentiality obligations (including our SMS platform provider, Talkdesk, Inc.); (ii) with wholesale lender partners solely to process your specific loan application; or (iii) as required by law, court order, or to protect against fraud.
SMS Text Messaging Program
Atlantic Avenue Mortgage, LLC offers an SMS text messaging program for active mortgage loan applicants. This section describes how the program works, how we use information collected through it, and your rights and choices.
We use SMS solely to send transactional communications related to your mortgage loan application, including loan status updates and requests for documents required to process your file, and to receive your responses, including photos of required documents. We do not use SMS to send marketing or promotional messages, rate quotes, or solicitations.
You must be at least 18 years old and the authorized user of the mobile telephone number you provide to participate. The program is available to customers who have submitted a mortgage application to us.
You may opt in by (i) checking the SMS consent box on our loan application form, (ii) signing the Borrower SMS Communication Authorization included in your application package, or (iii) texting START to our SMS-enabled number after we have previously communicated with you about your loan. Consent is not a condition of obtaining a loan or any other service from us.
When you opt in, we collect your mobile telephone number, the content of any messages, photos, or documents you send us by text, your opt-in records (date, time, and method), and SMS metadata such as delivery status and timestamps.
We use mobile information collected through SMS only to operate the SMS program—sending you status updates, requesting and receiving documents, responding to inquiries you initiate by text, confirming appointments, and complying with our legal and regulatory obligations.
No sharing for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or lease your mobile telephone number, opt-in records, or message content. We may share this information only with service providers acting on our behalf under written confidentiality obligations (including our SMS platform provider, Talkdesk, Inc.), with wholesale lender partners solely to process your application, or as required by law.
Frequency varies based on activity on your loan file. You may receive several messages during active stages and few or none during inactive periods.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for SMS messages, but your wireless carrier may.
You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any message you receive from us. We will send a confirmation message and will not send further SMS messages on the program. Withdrawing SMS consent will not affect your loan application or other communications with us.
Reply HELP to any message, call (877) 806-4028, or email [email protected] for assistance.
The program is available on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We retain SMS message content and metadata for the period required by applicable mortgage recordkeeping rules (including RESPA, TILA, and applicable state law), generally not less than three years from loan closing or denial, and thereafter only as required by law. We protect mobile information consistent with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Safeguards Rule and our information security program, including access controls, encryption in transit, and vendor management of our SMS platform provider.
We may modify or discontinue the SMS program at any time. Material changes to this section will be posted with a new effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
Limiting the Sharing of Credit Information
When you apply for a loan, credit reporting agencies may share certain personal information with other companies, which can result in unsolicited phone calls, emails, or offers for credit cards, refinancing, or other loan products. If you prefer not to receive these prescreened credit offers, you can opt out by calling 888-567-8688 or by visiting https://www.optoutprescreen.com.
Correcting Your Information
We provide you with the ability to update or correct the contact information and loan application details you submit to us. You may review and modify the information in your online application until it is formally submitted. After submission, any changes must be made by contacting us directly at our mortgage support line or by emailing our privacy team at [email protected]. Because email is not always a secure method of communication, we recommend that you do not send sensitive personal information by email. If you need to update sensitive information, it is best to call us directly for assistance.
Third Party and Social Media Sites
We may work with third-party service providers who collect, use, or disclose personal information only to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf. Some of these providers may operate in jurisdictions outside your state or outside the United States, and your information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party site or application, this Privacy Policy no longer applies.
We also work with social media platforms and third-party partners, such as Facebook and similar services, to help us connect with users and allow you to interact with or share our content. These Social Media Sites may collect or share information about you based on your interactions, privacy settings, and the permissions you grant on those platforms. Information obtained through these features may be accessible to us, but the collection, use, and sharing of that information is governed by the privacy practices of the Social Media Sites, not by this Privacy Policy. If you do not want Social Media Sites to share information with us, you must adjust your privacy settings directly with those platforms. We encourage you to review their privacy policies so you understand how your information may be used or disclosed. If you decide to express opinions about our services on social media, those platforms may collect or display your comments publicly. If you prefer that this not occur, you should refrain from posting such comments or update your privacy settings. If you would like us to delete information we have received about you from a Social Media Site, you may contact us with that request, although doing so may limit your ability to access certain promotions or features.
Our website may also include links to third-party products, services, or websites. We do not control or endorse the content, accuracy, or policies of these third parties, and we are not responsible for any transactions or interactions you choose to have with them. Any issues or correspondence related to third-party websites or services should be addressed directly with the third party.
Children's Information
Our website and services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at [email protected].
Our SMS text messaging program is not available to and may not be used by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect mobile telephone numbers or accept SMS opt-in from minors.
